As morning’s first rays slowly spread across the snow, life begins to stir. Already at work for hours, the farmer takes temporary solace from the cold in the warmth of his home. As he sits down to breakfast, the smoke from his fireplace gently billows into the early morning sky, signalling to all the arrival of the day.
