<p>A unique sensitivity and understanding of animal subjects permeates Jaqueline Gaylard’s work. This is evident in <em>Peek-A-Boo</em>, as the domesticity of Gaylard’s subject, is counteracted by a fixed predatory gaze cat-owners will know all too well. We could almost reach out a hand and touch the soft fur, so apparent is Gaylard’s superior technique, rich in both depth and observation. </p>
