Joan Coloma has dedicated the last twenty years of his life to painting the landscapes of Europe. His work is the result of two decades of a deep artistic relationship with the mountains, valleys and flora of the Canabria, Asturias and Leon regions of Spain. His style is simultaneously relaxed and vibrant, with seemingly effortless brushstrokes that deliver a bright and chromatic piece of work.
In particular, he favours the changing of the seasons, as it gives him the opportunity to interpret the rich tones of nature in all their glory. Coloma’s style and application of colour to traditional landscapes makes his work a refreshing addition to the collections of contemporary and traditional collectors alike.
