Painting for over 30 years, Martin is a completely self-taught artist specialising in contemporary oil paintings. What began as a hobby has now progressed into a successful professional career, with several paintings now published as limited edition prints.
Martin paints a variety of subjects including landscapes and seascapes; but his strength truly lies in his trademark figurative studies. Martin’s ability to capture the emotion of his subjects and translate it into a work of corresponding tone is truly remarkable. Combined with the vibrant colours and enigmatic poses of his subjects, his figurative work is fabulously gripping in content.
Martin now works from his studio in Dorset, where he has lived for the past 48 years. His work has unsurprisingly become incredibly popular among collectors, and can be found in collections in the UK, Australia, South Africa and the US.
