York Fine Arts Newsletter: April-2014

This month, we are proud to announce the arrival of over thirty new original artworks from our leading gallery artists. Included are paintings from four newly represented artists: Figurative artist Amanda Jackson; Dutch artist William Heytman, Marine artist Patrick Palmar and Landscapes from British artist Alan Smith. Full details for all artists and artworks can now be seen online or at the gallery.
Arrived this week are four seasonal paintings by the highly collected Landscape artist Vincent Selby and a superb commissioned oil on panel by the ‘Original Master of Light,’ Gordon Lees.
Online collectors will notice the recent full integration of international shipping options within the website. This month we have also confirmed preference rates for shipping and insurance through our carrier, UPS. If you have any questions relating to the worldwide or domestic shipping of artworks please do get in touch.
Also announced this month is the publishing of four signed limited edition prints by Edward Hersey that will be available later in the year. If you would like to reserve specific editions or for information once images are available please get in touch as editions are limited to only 65.

- As a highly regarded British still life artist, Raymond Campbell is most recognised for his curious paraphernalia arrangements, reminiscent of the 17th Century Dutch painters. These unique tableaux can be identified by their detailed precision and classically “Campbell-esque†contents including vintage wine bottles and sepia photographs.

- Amanda Jackson studied Fine Art at the University of Leicester and the renowned Norfolk Painting School Atelier. A keen people watcher, Amanda is known for her light-drenched paintings filled with remarkable detail, movement and emotion, which focuses on the beauty of light.

- We are proud to announce that York Fine Arts is now the UK's largest collection of artworks from Gordon Lees.
Gordon Lees paintings have been exhibited at the Mall Galleries in London, the Home Counties and many leading galleries throughout the U.K., America and Japan. In recent years, Lees has also become well known on greeting cards throughout the country. - Eight recently acquired original paintings by Gordon Lees are now available to purchase.

- (b.1972) Bedfordshire
- Surprisingly, Jay Nottingham has had no formal training as an artist. He has developed his own technique and subjects to paint. The large bright and colourful floral paintings he loves to paint are quickly becoming his trade mark. The impasto style of Jay's work is created with a palette knife give his paintings a three dimensional effect.
