Artist Kate Lycett: "The cove always seems so silent, even when it’s busy. It’s too vast for people to make much of an impact on. We visited in July and had a picnic on the limestone pavement above, looking across the dales. There was a Peregrine Falcon nesting beneath the ledge and making a lot of noise."
