The summer exhibition presents a bright and invigorating collection of original paintings that evoke the excitement and experience of summer. A time of simultaneous adventure and relaxation, summer is awash with simple pleasures: bright colours, exciting new places, countryside escapes and long afternoons in sun-drenched gardens are just a few precious joys of the season. Through the eyes of leading contemporary artists including David Sawyer RBA, Mike Hall, Philip Hearsey, Julian Mason and Michael John Ashcroft MAFA, this mixed show explores these myriad facets of the summer experience, providing a swift escape in which to soak up the delights of the season.
