<p>Raymond Campbell’s work blooms beneath the gaze of the observant viewer. With <em>Bowl of Lemons</em> we are given an especial treat, as beyond the fizzing champagne and glistening, freshly washed lemons, beyond the crimson pop of the strawberries and luxuriant creases of linen tablecloth, Campbell himself makes an appearance. The artist can be seen at work by his easel, obscured but discernible, reflected in the gleaming silver bowl.</p>
