Meet the Artist Event: Clare Haley
Posted by York Fine Arts / Saturday 16th of July, 2022
York Fine Arts is delighted to announce that Yorkshire artist Clare Haley will be visiting the gallery on Sunday the 31st of July 2022 to celebrate the opening of her newest solo exhibition, ‘Clare Haley: Light of Yorkshire’. From 12:00pm-2:00pm, visitors will have a special opportunity to meet Clare and discuss the exhibition, her work, her inspiration and her life as a professional artist.
Of the event, Gallery Manager Deanna Dawkins said, “Clare's work is positively otherwordly, springing from natural inspiration and the deepest depths of her imagination. It therefore comes as no surprise that meeting the mind behind the masterpiece gives a fascinating insight into her paintings and really brings another layer of appreciation to the enjoyment of her work."
Painting professionally since 2010, Yorkshire artist Clare Haley is best known for her dramatic, light-soaked landscapes. Working in oils from her small studio in Holmfirth, Clare seeks to capture the untamed allure and emotion of the northern landscape she so loves. She develops the atmospheric content of her paintings through location photography, research of weather and cloud consequences, imagined places and her experience living in an area of such raw beauty.
‘Clare Haley: Light of Yorkshire’ opens on Friday, the 29th of July and runs until Sunday, the 21st of August. All paintings in the exhibition are available for purchase. All paintings are also eligible for the Set-Aside and Own Art schemes, which gives collectors the option to spread the cost of a purchase over ten interest-free payments.
