Ian Rawling Wins the Caran d'Ache Award
Posted by York Fine Arts / Friday 26th of January, 2024
We extend our warmest congratulations to Ian Rawling, PS, who was presented with the Caran d’Ache award in recognition of his outstanding artistry at the Pastel Society's 125th annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London.
A member of the Pastel Society since 2021, Ian’s work has captured the imaginations of visitors, colleagues and collectors alike. Consistently admired and awarded year after year, Ian won the Schmincke Prize at last year's exhibition and the Visitor’s Choice Award in both 2018 and 2019.
Swiftly emerging as one of the UK’s most exciting, lauded and collectable pastel artists, Ian takes the genre of contemporary realism to ever increasing heights. His pristine, large-scale depictions of everyday objects, including rusting vintage toys and delectable sweets, are imbued with wonder and fascination.
View our current collection of Ian’s work, featuring an eclectic mix of contemporary still life pieces and signed, limited-edition prints on his artist page here.
