In these challenging times of uncertainty, we hope our monthly newsletter finds you and your families safe, healthy and in high spirits. We here at the gallery have chosen to savour the little joys where we can, and Julian Mason’s newest painting provides the perfect opportunity to do so. With its soft light and gently gurgling waters, ‘River Wharfe, Beckermonds’ quickly lulls us into a state of calm and relaxation, giving a swift and much-needed rejuvenation.
But even when embracing positivity, the fact remains that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is still a very real threat, which is why as of Sunday evening, we made the decision to temporarily close both our York and Harrogate galleries to the public. Saying this, we are happy to confirm that our website and online ordering system remain live and open for business. In addition, all communication channels remain open, including email and telephone lines, which have been temporarily diverted to accommodate safe home working for our staff. So should you wish to get in touch, please telephone our York gallery on 01904 634221 or email info@yorkfinearts.co.uk
In order to help keep things moving in this period of uncertainty, many of our artists have generously offered to provide noteworthy temporary discounts and/or consider reasonable offers. As such, if any particular artwork is of interest, we would highly encourage you to contact the gallery with any offers or to enquire about discounts that may be available. We would also like to furthermore reassure existing collectors of their investments and assert that any such discounts are indeed temporary, with usual pricing resuming when the country’s extraordinary protective measures are lifted.
Finally, the gallery is pleased to say that new work continues to arrive, including paintings by Julian Mason, Sean Durkin, Colin Wilson, Clare Haley and Raymond Campbell, as well as two new signed limited edition prints, ‘Beneath the Foundry Gate’ by Sean Durkin and ‘Local Botanicals’ by Raymond Campbell. Both prints are limited to editions of 65 and are available either framed or unframed. The Sean Durkin print is available to view and purchase from our website and orders are now being taken for ‘Local Botanicals’ (view the original here), which will be arriving shortly. Please contact the gallery for pricing and additional details--and as always, remember to check our Recently Acquired page to see any other new arrivals throughout the month.
We thank you for your continued patronage and wish you and your families all the very best of health and happiness at this unprecedented time. Please stay safe, be kind and remember to look after one another.
