York Fine Arts Newsletter: May-2020

We hope this monthly newsletter finds you all safe, healthy and well, and perhaps enjoying some of the simple pleasures to be found in our current situation. With this renewed appreciation and sense of gratitude, now, perhaps more than ever, we have taken particular solace in the joys of fine art and the natural world around us. British wildlife artist Wayne Westwood’s newest piece, ‘Kingfisher’, exquisitely combines the two, bringing together these two pleasures into a single, spectacular piece. With bright, jewel-tone blues and sharp, photorealistic detail, the painting makes an invigorating addition to a contemporary collection.

At this time, the gallery is still adhering to the protective measures we have put into place in the best interest of our community, clients, staff and their families. This includes the temporary closure of our York and Harrogate branches, as well as the suspension of home viewings until further notice. However, should you wish to reserve artwork for a future home viewing or check the status of home viewings as they evolve in response to goverment annoucements, please do contact the gallery.

Despite these protective measures, we are happy to confirm that the gallery remains open for business. New artwork also continues to become available, so be sure to keep checking our Recently Acquired page to see the newest additions to the gallery’s collection.

In what has become a silver lining for our patrons, the temporary discounts offered by many of our artists continue to be available, with several of these considering all reasonable offers. Naturally, prices will return to normal in due course; but in the meantime, this is a fantastic opportunity for collectors to make some particularly advantageous acquisitions. So if any artwork is of interest, it is very much worth getting in touch with any offers or to enquire about discounts that may be available.
