Chosen by: Philip Short, Director
“The rich tones and sweeping landscape are all encompassing, one can almost breath in the heady, meadow-sweetened air and feel the burning Tuscan sun. A painting to transport; the perfect remedy to October’s dark nights and chilly mornings.”
2. ‘A Fine Day in Yorkshire’ by Edward Hersey. Oil on panel. 30” x 20”. £7,885

Chosen by: Alan Short, Director
“Just as the gentleman on the bridge takes in the idyllic surrounds, we too are invited to drink in this wonderful scene, brimming with Yorkshire charm. Edward’s work never ceases to delight and surprise.”
3. ‘Cheesy Toast’ by Ian Rawling. Pastel. 16” x 16”. £895

Chosen by: Deanna Dawkins, Gallery Manager
“After several days of drooling over this piece, cheese on toast for dinner became an increasing matter of urgency for me. Such is the power of fine art! From crisp, seeded crusts to the slick, oily shine, Ian masterfully accentuates every delicious detail, ultimately resulting in a work that begs to be devoured over and over again.”
4. ‘Andalusian Stallion’ by Natalie Stutely. Oil on panel. 28.8” x 30”. £3,885

Chosen by: Kirsty Maclennan, Gallery Assistant.
“An unequivocal showstopper. The white horse is rife with symbolism. Freedom. Wisdom. Power. The grandeur of these themes, matched with Natalie’s sensitive appreciation for her subject and phenomenal skill, create a deeply evocative, almost spiritual work of art.”
5. ‘New York, New York’ by Sean Durkin. Oil on panel. 24” x 24”. £1,425

Chosen by: Sarah Pearson Short, Gallery Assistant.
“I’ve had the pleasure of visiting New York on a number of occasions and Sean captures the city in an entirely unique way. The stylised buildings and minimal colour palette create an atmosphere that I can’t say I recognize from personal experience, but that I like very much. It a scene of New York that honours the past and its industrious, multicultural heritage.”
